The two arabian fae's trotted insync through the area, the sounds of thier hoofs seemed to echo around them it was so quiet, they trotted close to eachother, the midnight pelt of one touched the heavenly other, necks arched, tail high, when one lifted thier left fore, the other did also. It was like they were bound by a rope, they came to the "Gates", both stopping without a sound or missing a beat. Two pairs of black orbs scanned the area, in thier old home, they had heard of this "sacred" place, but niether had ever placed a dagger here, for niether had ever needed to, but that day, they had both been too curious for anyone's good, and ventured there, it had been a silent agrement, both taking their own routes to get there, but arriving at the same moment. The sky was clear, the moon shining down, making both of thier pelt's glisten, they both looked at eachother, but wasn't sure what to do next, both went on to walk around the area, both oblivious to the dangers of being there, hoofs were once again heard throughout the area as they walked straight into the penned area. Nares flared and auds swirled in diffrent directions, the one who's dubbeth was Black Lightning, looked toward the east, a storm was rolling in, covering the moon, she nudged her sister, who's dubbeth was Moonlight, they both looked at the cloudy sky, but neither moved, others would of left in search for shelter, but not them, for they both loved the rain, the way lightning flashed across the sky, the way thunder made the earth rattle. Moonlight's mind drifted to earlier years,
~Flash Back~
I stood on a hill with my older sister Lightning, I was only a young filly, a few weeks or months old, watching as a storm rolled in, it wasn't a big one, but it wasn't exactly small, "Come on Lightning, let's go find some shelter before it starts to rain," I said, but she ignored me, gazing at the fast approaching rain, "Lightning!" I yelled at her, nudging her, but she only looked at me, "Why? Are you afraid of the rain?" she said, "No! I'm not afraid!" I said in defense, but the truth was, I WAS afraid, I didn't like the loud clapping sound of thunder, "Why are you afraid of the rain? Have you ever tried just standing and waiting for the rain to come?" she said, still looking at me, "Well....No" I admitted, "Then just wait with me," she told me, "But why sister?" I asked, "Well, I happen to love the rain, when it hit's your coat, it seems like all your troubles are being washed away, and, well, it's hard to explain." I wasn't believing that, to me, the only thing that came from the rain was how wet you were when you finally got to shelter. A few moments later, and I felt a droplet, then another, "I'm not getting it." I said in that sassy voice of mine, sister chuckled, "Just wait, you will," she said, " I'm STILL not getting it!" I told her, but then, a few moments later, I was feeling oddly relaxed, sister looked back at me again, "I told you," but I didn't reply, she was right, there was no way to explain it,
~End of Flash Back~
both the faes looked at eachother, both knowing what the other was thinking, about the time Moonlight had learned to love the rain and all it had to offer, in a few moments, it started to dowpour, but niether moved, just stared up into the night sky, side by side, as it should be,
